Catching Up
Ok, I've been out of commission for a while. We are slowly leaving a crazy colicky period with the babies. They are doing much better now that I've eliminated dairy from diet & they are being supplemented with a hypoallergenic formula.
Here's some highlights over the last few months (from what we can remember :)
The addition of Hank, Frank, and Bank... we finally entered the world of "pets". Suprisingly I have no desire for a dog (hard to believe considering my upbringing). I guess it's because I realize that kids are enough work for now. My hubby doesn't really like fury pets anyway, so that helps! So, we decided to start an aquarium...
A earned the first few fish by going through a workbook & writing all of his letters.
We started out with Hank, Frank, and Bank (named by A). He likes to rhyme these days. Long story short, only Hank made it. Frank was a cool orange fish that we wanted to replace. When Frank died, I thought A would be really upset. Apparently his daddy (my hubby) was very upset when his fish died as a little boy (which is kind of funny given his disinterest in animals nowadays). The first thing A said was "Oh Daddy is going to be sad"... then he followed it by "that's ok, we can get a new one". We kept Frank in the fridge for a couple days (of course in a plastic baggy) until we could bring him to the pet store as proof (so we could get a replacement). When peope would come to visit, A was more excited to show them "Frank in the fridge" then "Hank in the tank".
We ended up getting Frank Jr. a couple days later. Frank Jr. didn't last very long easier. My hubby had several debates (not surprising if you know him) with the expert fish lady at the pet store & she banned us from coming back to get more fish for a month or two (until our tank was in a better state). We joked around that he was banned from the pet store.
The reason we got an orange fish is because L was going through an Orange phase. Orange was his favorite first color and therefore the first one he said... which is funny given that it is more difficult to say than red, green, or blue. L was just learning how to say several words together and during this time, he learned to say "Orange Fish Died" & would repeatedly say it.
We now have a stable fish tank & have since added a couple more fish & a snail named "Slirmy" (also named by A).

L 2nd Bday
Oops... forgot to put pics up of L's 2nd Bday. L turned 2 on 2.21. He had a "dog dog" birthday since his fav stuffed animal is a dog and he likes to crawl around and bark like a dog.

Grandma's Visit
Grandma F came to stay with us for the last few weeks. She was a huge help! We were very sad to see her leave. She was able to see L going through a very cute stage - learning & saying new words every day. She even helped out with the twins during the night :) She put up with all the crankiness - babies, sleep deprived parents, and the older boys. I think we wore her out.
We really put her to work.

It's Boys!
The night before
The morning I was induced - nice belly shot
C was born at 12:33pm
S was born at 12:37pm
C - 7lb1oz
S - 8lb5oz
one of our few hospital shots with both of them -
C had to go to the NICU soon after birth due to low blood glucose levels
A & L enjoying their new little bro, S
Mommy & S
Mommy & C in the NICU
C in the NICU - trying to suck on his cuff
S getting spoiled in the hospital
Daddy was worn out - who's the patient here?
S leaving the hospital on Weds night
Mommy and C stayed in the NICU for the night
It was hard to separate from S but daddy took care of him
at his great grandparent's house (we live too far from the hosp)
S spent the night in this basket at his
great grandparent's house. Daddy had to
get some formula from the NICU so he could
feed S through the night.
